## What is Surfswap?

Surfswap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) with an automated market maker (AMM), providing liquidity and peer-to-peer transactions. The all-in-one Defi solution provides an array of services and features supporting the DeFi and Web3 spaces, including crypto swaps, staking, and yield farming, and serves as a launch platform for new and exciting projects to build on the Kava Network.

## Fair launch

Surfswap went live on the 30th of June in pre-mine stage. Since its launch, the users were able to take advantage of the following features:

* Swap
* Add/Remove Liquidity
* Yield farms
* Zap In & Zap Out
* Faucet
* Standard AMM & Stable AMM

In the pre-mine stage users can provide liquidity and deposit their LP tokens in Yield farms to earn $TIDE Tokens, but they will not be able to Harvest them until the pre-mine stage ends. If a user farms for example, for 2 days and then withdraws their LP tokens before Harvesting is enabled, they will still be able to claim rewards for those 2 days when it is turned on. This stage will last for at least 30 days after launch to ensure a fair distribution of the token.
